/ Crowdsourcing - Nivea Co-Lab (2018)

I’ve always believed technology matters only when it brings people closer. Guided by this, I joined the NIVEA Co-Lab, a global initiative inviting creatives to rethink human connection in a digital world.

From hundreds of submissions, I was selected as one of six global finalists, representing Brazil alongside another participant. During the immersion with finalists from Europe and South Korea, it became clear that we weren’t just competing — we were searching for new ways to reconnect people.

My concept emerged from the discomfort of seeing emotional distance grow despite digital connectivity, and from the belief that technology can still be a bridge.

Being part of the Co-Lab was a transformative experience that strengthened my commitment to creating ideas that genuinely bring people together.

/ next steps

This is only the initial study of a project that requires additional stages and deeper research to become a full reality.

The delivery timeline was limited to 14 consecutive days, including selection, alignment, revisions, travel, and the final presentation in Germany — all while working on it only during free time outside my regular job.

The concept, research, projections, prototyping, and presentation were all developed by me alone, and I acknowledge that there are aspects that can be improved in a future phase.

Special thanks to Beiersdorf NIVEA Brazil and Germany, Cheil Brazil and Cheil UK, and especially Nicola Schumann from Beiersdorf NIVEA Germany, for the support with reception, accommodation, and language assistance.
